Augustana Volleyball Falls Two Spots in AVCA National Poll

The Augustana women's volleyball team dropped two spots to No. 22 in this week's CBS College Sports/AVCA Division II Coaches Top 25 Poll, the AVCA office announced today.

The ranking comes after Augustana lost two matches over the weekend to then No. 4 Southwest Minnesota State (23-3, 12-2 NSIC) and Minnesota State University, Mankato (14-11, 9-5 NSIC).

Augustana (18-8, 10-3 NSIC) is one of five NSIC schools in the national rankings. Concordia-St. Paul is No. 1, Southwest Minnesota State is No. 3, Minnesota Duluth is No. 17 and Wayne State is No. 23.

The Vikings look ahead to two home matches this weekend. On Friday, No. 1 Concordia-St. Paul (25-1, 14-0 NSIC) comes to town for a 7 p.m. matchup. Augie will then host St. Cloud State (6-16, 4-10 NSIC) Saturday at 4 p.m. Both matches will be played at the Elmen Center.
