Augustana's Lisa Hoegh has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Setter of the Week for the week ending October 4, the NSIC office announced today. It is the second time this season Hoegh has earned Setter of the Week honors.
Hoegh, a senior from Byron, Minn., helped lead the then-No. 23 Vikings to a 3-0 record last week. Augustana earned a road win at St. Cloud State last Tuesday before sweeping Bemidji State on Friday. The Vikings concluded the week by knocking off then-No. 13 Minnesota Duluth in 4 sets.
Hoegh averaged 12.55 assists per set last weekend. In addition, she averaged 0.55 kills, 0.36 aces and 2.36 digs per set. After dishing out 55 assists, 10 digs and 2 aces in the win over St. Cloud State, Hoegh came back with 41 assists against Bemidji State. In that match she had 5 kills and 0 errors in 8 attacks for a .625 attack percentage. She wrapped up the week with 42 assists, 2 aces and 10 digs against UMD.
Augustana, which has a 13-6 overall record and a 6-1 NSIC record, goes on the road this week for a pair of league contests. The Vikings play at Minnesota State University Moorhead on Friday at 7 p.m. before visiting Minnesota, Crookston, on Saturday at 5 p.m.
