Help the Augustana Volleyball Team Raise Breast Cancer Awareness While They Take on Winona State

October is breast cancer awareness month and the Augustana women's volleyball team would like you to "Think Pink" and join the team in their efforts to support and raise awareness for breast cancer at the Vikings first DIG PINK volleyball match.

The match will be taking place on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 4 p.m. against NSIC opponent Winona State at the Elmen Center.

Fans are encouraged to get involved early and often, as the DIG PINK T-shirts will be available while supplies last. Anyone interesting in participating in the event can purchase the T-shirts from Augustana volleyball players and coaches, SAAC representatives and assistant coach Angie Hummel in HPER for $10 a shirt.

Fans that want to get involved but can't make it to the game or to campus on time, can make private donations at  "Dig for a Cure"

All proceeds from the T-shirts and private donations will go towards the Sideout Foundation .

By purchasing a DIG PINK T-shirt, participants will not only be supporting breast cancer awareness, but will also have a chance to win numerous prizes at the game on Oct. 18. Prizes include: a pink iPod Nano, a pink Philips portable DVD player, a pink Insignia digital camera, a pink flash drive and pink ribbon merchandise.

During the game, there will also be an information table provided by Augustana Employee Health Educator Amy Meyers. The Vikings volleyball team will also be available after the game for autographs.

To win a prize, participants must be present at the match to win, so spread the word and help the Augie volleyball team raise money for breast cancer awareness and "Dig for a Cure."
