Augustana Volleyball Remains No. 22 in AVCA Top 25 Poll
Augustana enters the NCAA Division II Central Regional Championships ranked No. 22 in the nation

The Augustana women's volleyball team held onto the No. 22 spot in this week's Bison/AVCA Division II Coaches Top 25 Poll, the AVCA office announced today.It is the final weekly poll until after the NCAA Division II Championships.
The Vikings (23-10, 15-5 NSIC) remained a solid No. 22 after winning all three matches last week. Augustana outlasted then-No. 23 Wayne State in 5 sets last Tuesday before sweeping Minnesota State Moorhead and Minnesota, Crookston, over the weekend.
Augustana is one of five NSIC schools in the national rankings. Concordia-St. Paul is No. 1, Southwest Minnesota State is No. 7, Minnesota Duluth is No. 15 and Wayne State is No. 24.
The Vikings are the No. 5 seed for this week's NCAA Division II Central Regional Volleyball Championships, scheduled for November 20-22 in St. Paul, Minn. It is the Vikings' sixth-straight regional appearance and 12th appearance in the last 13 years.
The Vikings (23-10) will face No. 4 seed Nebraska-Kearney (31-3) on Thursday at 5 p.m. in one of four opening round matches at the Gangelhoff Center. Other first round matches feature No. 1 seed Concordia-St. Paul (31-1) facing No. 8 seed Regis (19-11); No. 2 seed Southwest Minnesota State (27-5) tackling No. 7 seed Metro State (18-9); and No. 3 seed Minnesota Duluth (24-8) squaring off against No. 6 seed Wayne State (23-9).
The winner of the Central Regional Championship advances to the Division II Elite 8, scheduled for December 4-6.
