Augustana Volleyball Climbs to No. 21 in AVCA Top 25 Poll

The Augustana women's volleyball team moved up one spot to No. 21 in this week's CBS College Sports/AVCA Division II Coaches Top 25 Poll, the AVCA office announced today.

The Vikings (19-9, 11-4 NSIC) moved up after going 1-1 last week. Augustana dropped a hard-fought four-set decision to No. 1 Concordia-St. Paul last Friday before rebounding to sweep St. Cloud State on Saturday.

Augustana is one of five NSIC schools in the national rankings. Concordia-St. Paul is No. 1, Southwest Minnesota State is No. 6, Minnesota Duluth is No. 17 and Wayne State is No. 23.

The Vikings will be on the road for a pair of NSIC matches this weekend. On Friday, Augustana plays at Bemidji State in a 7 p.m. match. Then on Saturday, Augie travels to Duluth, Minn., to face Minnesota Duluth in a 4 p.m. contest.
