Augustana Volleyball Falls to No. 23 in National Rankings

After losing a close five-set match at Wayne State on Saturday, the Augustana volleyball team dropped five spots to No. 23 in this week's CBS College Sports/AVCA Division II Coaches Top 25 Poll, the AVCA office announced today.

Augustana (10-6, 3-1 NSIC) went 0-1 last week, snapping a three-match winning streak in NSIC play. With a 3-1 record in conference play, Augie sits in fourth place in the conference. Concordia-St. Paul remains on the top of the conference with a 6-0 NSIC record.

Augustana has three matches scheduled for this Homecoming week. On Tuesday, the Vikings will go on the road to face St. Cloud State (2-12, 0-6 NSIC) before coming home to play two home matches. In the first match of the weekend, Augie will play Bemidji State (6-11, 2-3 NSIC) Friday at 7 p.m. The team will then turn around and play No. 13 Minnesota Duluth (14-3, 5-0 NSIC) Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Both home games will be played in the Elmen Center.
