Augie Women Retain No. 2, Men Fall Three Places in Cross Country Regional Rankings

The Augustana women's cross country team stayed at No. 2 and the men dropped three spots in the Central Region rankings, the USTFCCCA announced today.

The Viking women stayed at  No. 2 after finishing second at the Pre-Regional Meet in Wayne, Neb. last week. The men also finished second in the meet, but slipped from No. 4 to No. 7 this week.

In the women's poll, the top five teams remained the same. Colorado School of Mines improved one spot to No. 6 and U-Mary moved from No. 9 to No. 7. Fort Lewis dropped to No. 8 and Winona State fell one spot to No. 9.

The top three teams of the men's rankings remained the same but Nebraska Kearney jumped up one spot to No. 4 while Minnesota State improved to No. 5. Minnesota Duluth dropped from No. 9 to No. 10 and MSU Moorhead vaulted from No. 10 to No.6.

Both teams will next participate in the NSIC Conference Championships  in Bemidji, Minn. on Oct. 24.
