THIS WEEK: The Augie baseball team (11-6) will host its first Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference games in a pair of doubleheaders against Bemidji State this weekend. The first doubleheader will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, followed by a noon doubleheader on Sunday. Both doubleheaders will be played at Ronken Field. The Vikings will stay at home for a 9-inning non-conference matchup with Morningside College on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
NEXT WEEK: The Vikings will then be on the road to play Northwest Missouri State in a pair of doubleheaders in Maryville, Mo. The first doubleheader is on April 4 at 1 p.m., followed by a noon start on April 5.
LAST WEEK: The Vikings took three out of four games in the weekend series against then No. 18 ranked Concordia University, St. Paul. Augie lost the first game of the series 8-5 before taking the last three games 13-1, 2-1 and 2-1 to start 3-1 in its first season in the NSIC.
