Nate Baumann and Drew Heithoff Sign Contracts with Eau Claire Express

Junior's Nate Baumann and Drew Heithoff have been awarded full season contracts with the Eau Claire Express baseball team of the Northwoods League after signing two 10-day contracts.
Both players played well during their original contract and were offered and accepted a second 10-day contract. When the second contract was up league rules did not allow players to receive a third-short term contract.
Because of the rule, Baumann and Heithoff thought they would lose their spots to incoming players finishing their college seasons.
They were eventually offered a full season contract after numerous Division I players were drafted and signed with professional teams.
Baumann is currently batting .273 with 11 runs scored, 15 hits, three doubles, one homerun and seven runs batted in.
Heithoff is batting .265 with 12 runs scored on 18 hits, four doubles. He has also driven in five runs and walked seven times.
