Augustana Standout Pitcher Bret Severtson Signs with Brainerd Lunkers

Augustana junior relief pitcher Bret Severtson has signed a contract with the Brainerd Lunkers of the North Woods League, announced head coach Tim Huber.

Severtson, a Flandreau, S.D. native, joins fellow junior's Nate Baumann and Drew Heithoff, who have signed contracts for the Eau Claire Express this summer.

He has yet to throw a pitch for the Lunkers but will be with the team for the remainder of the season.

Severtson made the most appearances on the mound for Augie this spring with 23, while recording a team best 2.81 ERA.

In his 23 appearances, Severtson posted a 2-0 record to go with seven saves.
