The Augustana softball team was selected to participate in the NCAA Tournament, the NCAA announced today. The Vikings have been selected to participate in Central Regional #2 and will travel to Wayne, Neb., for regional play held May 14-16.
The Vikings are the No. 2 seed in the Central Regional and will face No. 3 Concordia on Friday at 2:30 p.m. Prior to that game, No. 1 seed Wayne State faces conference foe No. 4 Minnesota Duluth at noon. The regional is a double-elimination tournament.
The Vikings finished the regular season 42-10 and won the NSIC regular season title. Augie finished as the runner-up in the NSIC conference tournament.
