The Viking softball team (44-12, 23-3 NSIC) has earned the No. 3 seed in the NCAA Central Regional Softball tournament. The regional is split into two sites with the winner at each site advancing to the Super Regional May 21-22. Augustana will be a part of the #2 regional, hosted by No. 2 seeded Wayne State.
The Vikings will open the tournament with a 2:30 p.m. matchup wth Concordia-St. Paul on Friday.
LAST WEEK: The Vikings went 3-2 at the NSIC Tournament in Sioux Falls last weekend. Augie knocked off Southwest Minnesota State, Minnesota State, and Concordia-St. Paul. They also suffered two losses to Wayne State, who was the eventual tournament champion.
