The Augustana football team held its annual Blue and Gold Spring Football Game on Friday, April 30, at Kirkeby-Over Stadium. The first team offense and defense defeated the reserves 26-0.
The offense amassed 288 yards–77 rushing and 211 passing.
Joe Clark carried five times for 14 yards, while
Nate Mahone tallied 36 yards on seven carries.
Quarterback Josh Hansen completed 14-of-18 passes for 161 yards and two touchdowns, a 40-yard completion to
Tyler Schulte and a three-yard toss to
Jordan Marshall.
On defense,
Austin Luecke tallied eight stops, while
Ross Peterson had seven tackles and broke up a pass.
Eric Bergman registered three sacks, and Brady MacGiver and
Ben Wardell each had two.
The Vikings open the 2010 season with a home game against St. Cloud State. The game is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 4 and is slated to begin at 1 p.m.
