BURNSVILLE, Minn. - The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference has announced that Augustana senior linebacker
Ryan Isaacson has been named Defensive Player of the Week for his effort in the Vikings' 32-23 victory over St. Cloud State on Saturday.
Isaacson began his senior season by recording a career-high 13 tackles on Saturday. Isaacson also had one sack for a loss of six yards. The linebacker also swatted a point-after attempt by the Huskies in the second quarter, allowing his team to retain a 14-13 lead.
Isaacson is a Sioux Falls native and 2006 graduate of O'Gorman High School.
Augustana opens conference play on Saturday, traveling to Bemidji State. Kick-off is set for 1 pm.
