ROUND 1 RESULTS
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - No. 21 Augustana is in 10th place after shooting a 340 Wednesday at the NCAA Championships being played at the Persimmon Ridge Golf Course.
Emily Kvidera fired a 7-over-par 79 for the Vikings and is tied for 12th.
No. 1-ranked Nova Southeastern, the three-time defending national champion, leads the 12-team field at 308. NSU also owns the individual leader in Abbey Gittings, who carding an even-par 72 on Wednesday. She's one shot ahead of teammate Daniela Ortiz.
Kvidera was the lone Viking to stay under 80 in the opening round.
Allie Ostrander is tied for 27th with a 10-over 82, and
Maggie Leland is tied for 37th with a 13-over 85.
Jennifer Benoy is tied for 66th (22-over 94), while
Kelsey Bortnem is in 70th (31-over 103).
Augustana is making its fifth-straight appearance at the NCAA Championships; the program's best finish came in 2007-08 when
Peggy Kirby's team placed eighth.
The four-round tournament runs through Saturday.
