SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The 20th ranked Vikings of Augustana will be on the road this weekend for their final two matches of the regular season, as they travel to No. 25 Winona State on Friday and end the regular season against Upper Iowa on Saturday.

This will be the second time this season that the Vikings have faced off against the Warriors and the Peacocks. Augustana came away victorious in the last meetings on Sept. 25-26, earning sweeps in both matches.

The Vikings remained at No. 20 in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association Top-25 poll for the third consecutive week, following a weekend where Augustana swept Minnesota State, and became the first team this season to take Concordia-St. Paul to five-sets twice. Augustana has now been ranked a total of 201 weeks, the 2nd most in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and the 13th most in the nation.

The Augustana seniors picked a good time to shine Saturday in their final match inside the Elmen Center. Marissa Johnson had a season-high 30 assists while Sydney Hunlsey had 11 kills, her first double-digit kill performance since Oct. 2 when she had 14 against Concordia-St. Paul. Johnson currently sits in seventh on the all-time Augustana assists list with 3,310 while also sitting in seventh for assists per set average in a career with an average of 9.17 assists.

Augustana ended the home portion of their schedule last weekend going 11-3 at home. This was the Vikings best season at home since 2000 when they went 12-2.

The NSIC Standings are still be played out as five teams are playing for the final three spots. Augustana currently sits in sixth with a 10-8 record in the NSIC. Friday's opponent Winona State is also 10-8 while Minnesota State is currently in eighth with a 9-9 conference record. MSU Moorhead and Upper Iowa are currently on the outside looking in with an 8-10 conference record.
