DES MOINES, Iowa - On the first night of competition for Augustana at the 2015 Drake Relays, senior Paul Yak was the only Viking to compete turning in a top 10 finish.

The Storm Lake, Iowa native placed eighth in the men's 5,000-meter run clocking a time of 14:23.00. A slow start forced Yak's chances of turning in a faster time and missing his personal-best mark by two seconds. 

Augustana returns to action tomorrow beginning with the men's and women's distance medley relays. Another group of athletes will travel to Indianola, Iowa for the Kip Janvrin Open.
