INDIANAPOLIS – NCAA Division II announced Thursday that Augustana's home basketball doubleheader against Northern State University on Saturday, Jan. 14 will be streamed live on ESPN3 and will also be available on WatchESPN and the ESPN app.
The Augustana women's basketball team will tip-off against Northern State at 4 p.m. (CT) and will be followed by the men's game at 6 p.m. (CT).
The doubleheader is part of the 27-game NCAA Division II Basketball Showcase, which streams men's and women's national games of the week, with one airing on ESPN3/WatchESPN and the other on American Sports Network. This is the second year of a three-year agreement the NCAA has with ESPN3 and ASN.
"Division II's broadcast agreement will continue to highlight Division II student-athletes and their accomplishments on a national stage," said Terri Steeb Gronau, vice president of Division II. "This is an exciting opportunity for men's and women's basketball student-athletes to demonstrate that they are not only great students and members of their community, but that they are truly skilled athletes as well."
An additional four flex doubleheaders (two per network) will be finalized later in the basketball season and played the weeks of Feb. 20 and 27. The flex games are expected to highlight premier and pivotal matchups.
