SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana University volleyball team has received a letter of intent from Abby Benson in the early signing period, as announced by head coach Dan Meske on Wednesday. Benson will join the Vikings at the start of the 2017 season.

High School Notes: Abby has been a four-year starter and letter winner … as a senior she helped lead her team to a 23-9 record and a runner-up finish at sectionals … she earned all-state and all-conference honors after totaling 370 kills, 279 digs, 47 blocks and 37 service aces … as a junior she helped lead her team to a 21-11 record and a sub-section runner-up finish … she earned all-state and all-conference honors after totaling 353 kills, 256 digs, 90 blocks and 23 service aces … as a sophomore her she had 228 kills, 158 blocks and 31 digs on her way to earning all-conference honors … her team finished 27-5 and were sub-section runner-up … as a freshmen she had 168 kills, 56 blocks and 27 digs
