SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana athletics held its annual auction on Friday, April 1, in the Hall Sports Forum in the Elmen Center. The 2016 Augustana Athletic Auction raised a record $138,000, the Augustana A-Club announced Friday.
 
"We are truly thankful for the outstanding support from our donors and friends," director of athletics Slade Larscheid said. "The evening was a celebration of Augustana athletics while also generating funds for student-athlete scholarships. The results of the auction impacts all 19 of our sport programs."
 
More than 500 people attended the event on April 1. There were over 200 silent and live auction items up for bid.
 
The next scheduled event by the Augustana A-Club is the Sam Milanovich Golf Tournament which is set for Friday, June 3, at Willow Run Golf Course in Sioux Falls.
 
Proceeds from The Sammy support the Sam Milanovich Endowed Scholarships, which are awarded to student-athletes at Augustana.
