SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana women's tennis team had a banner day at the Augustana Invitational on Saturday. The Vikings cruised on the day not losing a single match during the day at the Huether Tennis Centre.

The day began with doubles and the Vikings were locked in from the start. The pair of Kornelia Staniszewska and Taylor Jackson kicked off the competition with an 8-1 doubles victory. The pair would go on to win their second match by a score of 8-1, as well.

Doubles teams of Berkley Darr/Annika Teske, Meredith Lawrence/Kaitlyn Motley and Christine Olivo/Rebecca Falkner all won two matches on the day.

Staniszewska started off her sophomore season strong with two victories without dropping a set. Motley earned a victory without dropping a set in her lone singles match of the day.

Jackson, Lawrence, Darr, Olivo and Teske all earned two victories in singles play. Falkner and Anna Steinwand earned straight set victories in their lone matches on the day.

The Vikings return to action tomorrow for day two of the Augustana Invitational at the Huether Tennis Centre at 8 a.m.
