SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Augustana women's golf team kicks off its spring season by hosting the Augustana Spring Fling in Palm Desert, Calif. on March 15-16.
The Spring Fling will be contested at Classic Club and will feature 12 teams. The par 72, 5901 yard course will see Augustana, UIndy, St. Edward's, Tarleton State, Chico State, Lindenwood, Biola, Colorado Christian, Point Loma, St. Martin's, CSU-San Marcos and CSU-Los Angeles compete at the two-day event.
Augustana finished the fall schedule with two top team finishes, two team runner up finishes and an 11th place finish. The Vikings won the Central Region Fall Preview and the Concordia-St. Paul Invite and were runners-up at the Central Missouri Invite and the Lindenwood Invite. Augustana took 11th at the NCAA 2018 Preview.
The Vikings already have claimed five NSIC Golfer of the Week honors this season.
Hannah Hankinson has been honored twice, while
Alex Stone,
Kali Trautman and
Emily Israelson each have earned the accolade once.
Next up for Augustana will be the Nebraska-Kearney Invitational in Axtell, Neb. on March 24-25.
