SIOUX FALLS S.D. – The Augustana men's tennis team makes its home debut against Morningside Friday at 7 p.m. at the GreatLIFE Woodlake Athletic Club.  

The Mustangs
Morningside College will start the spring portion of its season. The Mustangs finished the fall session going 1-1 in nonconference play. 

The Vikings
Augustana is coming off of a split last Saturday against UND and Concordia, where UND won 7-0 and the Vikings rallied back against Concordia to win 5-2. In the Concordia match, the Vikings went on to win four of the singles matches with wins from senior Logan Barr, freshman Tory Shafer, senior Frank Kelly, and junior North Knewtson. 

Player to Watch
Knewtson had a solid sophomore season last year and is looking for continued improvement. His sophomore season concluded with a record of 13-6 in singles play. Also finding success in doubles action, he went 13-5 pairing up with teammates Austin VanDerWeide and Eden Mrozek. 

Up Next
The Vikings will be traveling to Fremont, Nebraska, on Saturday Feb. 22 where they will have a nonconference faceoff with Midland at 11 a.m. and Doane at 3 p.m. Both events will take place at the Fremont Family YMCA.
