Anna Ratzloff came to Augustana as a highly decorated track athlete from Little Falls, MN. She left Augustana as the top female hurdler in the history of the college.
The records and accomplishments for Anna are numerous. She qualified for the NCAA Division II National Championships six times. In 1995 she earned All-America honors in the 400 hurdles at the NCAA Division II outdoor track and field championships despite a serious foot injury. She holds the school indoor record for the 55-meter hurdles and also owns outdoor records for the 110-meter and 400-meter hurdles. She held six school records at one time, and in 1995 was named South Dakota's NCAA Woman of theYear. She was a three-time NCC champion at the NCC indoor and the outdoor championships.
Anna's athletic accomplishments only scratch the surface of her four years at Augustana. She made the Dean's List six times and graduated Cum Laude. In 1995 she was recognized as the Female Athlete of the Year by the Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She was also listed in Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities. And, to top things off, she was elected Viking Days Queen in 1994.
