Augustana University Athletics

Hanson came to Augustana from Volin, SD and was a four year letterman for Coach Ole Odney's basketball teams. He was a mainstay in the Viking scoring and rebounding attack throughout his career and served as team captain his senior year. He was named to the 1953 All-North Central Conference team. After graduation he had a highly successful career as a coach at Irene before his untimely death.
