A feared hitter at the plate, Jason Lloyd rewrote the baseball record book in his four years at Augustana.

Jason was a prize recruit for head coach Scott Timmer's Viking baseball program in 1989. By the time his career was complete, the Omaha, Neb. native held eight school records.

He was a three-time All-NCC selection. He still ranks in the top ten in numerous school records. He is second in career hits (181), fifth in hits for a season (57), fifth in doubles for a season (15) and career (35), seventh in RBI for a career (90), fifth in season batting average (.425), and sixth in batting average for a career (.353). An outstanding student as well, Jason was an Academic All-American in 1992. He was awarded an NCAA postgraduate scholarship and maintained a 3.97 GPA in Biology while at Augie. In 1993, he was the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce Honor Athlete. That same year, he was selected NCC Honor Athlete of the Year. He was also Augustana's team captain in 1992 and 1993.

His fondest memory was hitting a grand slam in the bottom of the seventh inning against UNO to tie the game. Augustana eventually won the game in extra innings.
