"Mike" Dahl is a 1956 graduate of Augustana College, and a past member of Viking football squads whose fortunes were less than splendid. Mike was a starter and lettered each of his four years from 1952-55.

Players were scare during his years at Augustan, and it was not seldom that Mike had to play all 60 minutes of a game. Offensively, he usually played fullback, but when Augustana would score, Mike Dahl could have been involved as the carrier, the receiver, or in his senior year, the passer.

In 1954, he scored the only touchdown in a 13-7 loss to Wayne State. He also scored touchdowns in games against U.S.D. and Westmar. He led the team in scoring that year with 18 points.

Mikes' teammates elected him captain during his junior year, an honor he held along with that of his selection in the All-NCC first team. During his senior year, he was elected a co-captain with Jim Gednalske.
