Augustana University Athletics

Nereim was a four year fixture in the line for Viking grid teams of the 1939-42 era. Affectionately dubbed "Meat Ball" by his teammates, Orv was an integral part of the teams, both offensively and defensively. The Vikings won titles all four years, including a tie for the North Central crown in '42. Orv taught school for a time and was a rural mail carrier.
