In reading Page Duroe Kern's resume, one word comes to mind: multi-talented. Page has many music awards, as well as athletic awards, to her credit; in addition, she is a second degree black belt.

Page came to Augustana in 1974; high school and college athletic programs for girls and women were just beginning, following the passing of Title IX in 1972. She had only played one sport, volleyball, for one year in high school.

At Augie, she competed in volleyball and basketball for four years and softball for three. She pitched a no-hitter, was volleyball captain as a senior, and averaged 11.7 points per game on the basketball court. Her career high was against DWU in which she scored 25 points. Page is 18th on the women's basketball career scoring charge with 656 points. She was named the 1978 Augustana Female Athlete of the Year, and was listed in Who's Who Among American College and University Students.

While at Augie, she was also a member of the Concert Band, Brass Choir, Brass Ensemble, the Northlander Jazz Ensemble, FCA, and Chi Epsilon. She was graduated with honors in 1978 with a degree in Physical Education.
