Patricia Reisdorfer will forever maintain the distinction of being the first woman selected for the Augustana Athletic Hall of Fame.
She was graduated from Augustana in 1980 with majors in nursing and physical education. On her way to earning All-American status in cross-country and track, she set records in the 1,500 meter, 3,000 meter, 5,000 meter, and 10,000 meter events.
Patty is presently coordinator of the same-day surgery holding area at the Royal C. Johnson Veterans Memorial Hospital in Sioux Falls. She was a lieutenant in the United States Navy Reserve, and pursued a masters degree in nursing administration at South Dakota State University. Even so, found time to run, and compete in marathons since her days at Augustana.
