Moreland capped a distinguished football career at Augie by being named his team's "Honor Athlete" in 1939. He played on four Viking grid teams, helping compile an overall 29-4-1 won-loss record. He was twice named to the all-conference team as a center and linebacker. Bob also participated in track and was elected to be president of "A" Club for lettermen.
