Tony Viger was the first All-America First Team honoree in baseball’s history and was the only Region Position Player of the Year before 2024. He was a Tino Martinez Award Finalist, given to the top DII players in the country. Viger was a Consensus All-American First Team as a senior in 2014 and was the NSIC Player of the Year after batting .407 with a .455 on-base percentage and .688 slugging percentage.
He led the country with 28 doubles. Viger also led the NSIC and was top 10 nationally with 152 total bases, 65 runs scored and 90 hits while ranking 11th in the country with 62 RBI. He also struck out 17 batters and allowed just a pair of earned runs while collecting a pair of saves in his final season. Viger batted .347 over the course of his career with 53 doubles, 128 RBI and 136 runs scored.
