Final Results
The Augustana women's golf team finished in fourth place at the Augustana Fall Invitational, which concluded Sunday afternoon at Bakker Crossing in Sioux Falls, S.D.
The Vikings entered Sunday's final round in fourth place, 1 shot behind Southwest Minnesota State. Augustana, which shot a 320 on Saturday, improved to 312 on Sunday to finish with a 36-hole total of 632. However, SMSU shot a 308 on Sunday to hold off the Vikings and finish third.
Concordia St. Paul won the team title at 612, while Minnesota State University, Mankato, was second at 619.
Individually,
Kelly Lauer had the best second round for Augustana, carding a 76 on the par 71 course. She finished with a two-day total 155 to tie for sixth place.
Kelli Lowry was next in for Augie, shooting a 79 on Sunday to tie for 9th place at 157. Rounding out the Viking team placers were
Kate Tobin, who tied for 18th place at 162,
Emily Kvidera, who was 23rd at 163 and
Laura Strautz, who shot a 166 to tie for 26th place.
Augustana will be back in action next weekend when the Vikings travel to Lake Elmo, Minn., to compete in the Wildwood Lodge Invitational on Sept. 20-21.
