LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Augustana softball team will enter the 2023 season ranked No. 13 in the nation as announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
 
The Vikings are the only team in the NSIC to earn a preseason ranking, garnering 212 points in the poll. The 2023 NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll is expected in the near future where the Vikings are the two-time defending champions.
 
Augustana, who ended 2022 with a 50-10 record, opens the 2023 season Thursday, Feb. 2 at the DII Spring Invitational Kickoff in Conroe, Texas. The Vikings open against Texas A&M International and Cal Poly Humboldt.
