Katie Meister (F, 6-0, Sr., Sioux Falls, S.D. / Roosevelt HS) provided a huge spark off the bench for Augustana this past week, averaging 16.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1.5 blocks, and 1.5 steals in just 23.5 minutes, while shooting 68.1% from the field in two games for Vikings. The Sioux Falls, S.D. native first had a career night in a 70-65 loss to Wayne State on Monday, recording career-highs in points (18), rebounds (12), assists (three), steals (two), blocks (two) against Wildcats. It was also the first collegiate double-double of Meister’s career. The senior also shot an impressive eight for 12, including one of two from beyond the arc, in the game. Against Midland, Meister notched 15 points on seven-of-10 shooting, five rebounds, one block, and one steal in just 19 minutes of action in an 86-68 win.
