#10 Jenelle Trautmann (P/U, 5-7, Jr., R/R, Hastings, Minn./Hastings HS) had a strong weekend at the plate and in the circle for Augustana, helping the Vikings to a 5-1 record going 3-0 as a pitcher and batting .500 as a batter. Trautmann had 9 hits in 18 at bats, including a double and two home runs while driving in eight runs. In game two at Winona State on Wednesday, Trautmann was 2 for 4 with an RBI and on the weekend she finished 7 for 11 with eight RBI, a double and two home runs. In game one against Bemidji State on Saturday she was 2 for 3 with a home run and two RBI before finishing 1 for 2 with two RBI in the second game. She blasted her 40th career home run in game one against Minnesota Crookston on Sunday to bring her within three of tying the all-time record at Augustana. She finished the weekend by going 3 for 3 with a double and an RBI in the second game against the Golden Eagles. In the circle, Trautmann posted a 0.78 ERA in five appearances, posting a 3-0 record. She picked up the win in game one against Winona State on Wednesday going six strong innings, striking out six batters and not allowing a run on six hits. Trautmann picked up a win over Bemidji State in game one on Saturday, striking out five batters while tossing a one-hitter in 4.0 innings of work. Trautmann threw two relief innings in game two against Bemidji State not allowing a hit and striking out one to earn her first save of the season. She then held Minnesota Crookston to no runs on three hits while striking out seven in a game one win that improved her to 18-2 in the circle on the season.
