#16 Tony Viger (3B, 6-2, 215, Sr., Sioux Falls, S.D. / O'Gorman HS) put up big numbers as the Vikings got the split against both Bemidji State and #3 Minnesota State this past week. Viger scored on run as Augustana defeated the Beavers 5-2 in game one of a doubleheader on Wednesday. The Sioux Falls, S.D. native then stepped his game up for the Mavericks in a four-game series over the weekend. Viger went 1 for 3 with two RBI and one run scored in game one win on Saturday. The senior's lone hit turned out to be the game-winning homerun, giving him four on the season. Viger followed that up going 3 for 4 with three RBI in a Viking 6-3 win against Minnesota State in game one on Sunday. In game two, Viger went 2 for 6 with three more RBI and scored a run. The third basemen also hit his fifth homer of the year, second of the series, with a two-run shot in the top of the fourth inning. For the week, Viger hit .304 (7 of 23), drove in 8 runs, scored three runs, and hit two home runs.
