Charlie Hayes, a junior wide receiver from Lakeville, Minn., hauled in 11 passes for a career-high 266 yards and four touchdowns in the win over St. Cloud State last Saturday. The 11 catches and four touchdown catches are also both new career-highs for Hayes. Hayes caught passes of 64, 43, 33, 30, 29 and 26 yards against the Huskies, with the 64-yard reception marking a new career-long. The 266 receiving yards by Hayes was the most by a Viking receiver since Tyler Schulte had 210 against SMSU on Sept. 25, 2010. The 266 receiving yards by Hayes also was one-yard shy of tying the single-game record at Augustana. Sam Holsen holds the single game record of 267 which was set on Oct. 24, 2009 against Wayne State. Hayes has hauled in 14 passes for 340 yards and five touchdowns in two games for the Vikings this season.
