Luke Butler accounted for 5 touchdowns in Augustana’s win over Northern State as he earned NSIC Offensive Player of the Week honors. Butler completed 12 of 16 passes for 268 yards and 4 touchdowns. He also rushed the ball 5 times for 33 yards, including a 16-yard scoring run.

Butler had a monster first quarter as he helped stake the Vikings to a 26-0 lead. He completed 8 of 10 passes for 202 yards and all 4 of his touchdowns in the period. His scores went for 34, 5, 59 and 2 yards. His 4 touchdown passes gave him 25 on the season, which tied an Augustana single-season touchdown pass record. Eric DeGraff also threw 25 touchdowns in 2000.
