The Augustana women's soccer team tied a school record for eight victories in a season after recording a 2-1 win over Upper Iowa last Saturday. The team will have two shots at setting the new school record this weekend at home.
THIS WEEK: The Augustana women's soccer team (8-3-1, 5-2-0 NSIC) will be back at home this weekend for two NSIC matchups.
In the first game of the weekend, Augie will take on Minnesota State University-Mankato (8-1-2, 6-0-1 NSIC) who is currently in second place in the NSIC behind Winona State, Saturday at noon.
The Vikings will then turn around and play Southwest Minnesota State (1-10-0, 1-6-0 NSIC) Sunday at 1 p.m. Both games will be played at Yankton Park Trails.
LAST WEEK: Augie rallied from a 1-0 halftime deficit to defeat Upper Iowa 2-1 Saturday afternoon, making head coach Brandon Barkus the winningest coach in the program's history with the Vikings third straight win.
On Sunday the team was defeated by #3 Winona State, 5-0, Sunday in Winona, Minn.
Winona State leads the NSIC with a 12-1-0 record this season going 7-0-0 in conference play.
