The new facility is 16' wider than the old courts and now has six championship regulation size courts. It also includes lights, bleacher seating, and an entry area with a tennis building.
"Augustana College is genuinely appreciative to the Huethers and all the other donors who stepped forward to make this beautiful new facility a reality," Gross said. "It is a wonderful addition to our campus and continues to fulfill our commitment to provide outstanding facilities so that our student-athletes can compete at the highest levels in the NSIC and NCAA Division II."
“This is a dream come true for our family" Mike Huether said. "With the wonderful support of some gracious donors and the unwavering partnership of Augustana, Sioux Falls has a new jewel to enjoy the great sport of tennis for years to come Our next goal is to get as many folks as possible in Sioux Falls and Augustana utilizing this beautiful facility."
The facility will be the new home for Augustana's men's and women's tennis teams and will also serve Augustana students, staff, and the Sioux Falls community.
A welcome reception and tour of the facility will be held after the dedication ceremony.
