The Augustana soccer team scored just 1:28 into the game Saturday against Southwest Minnesota State, ending a scoreless streak of over 300 minutes. Augie went on to beat the Mustangs 4-1.
Augie improves to 5-5-5 overall on the season and 2-2-4 in conference play. The Mustangs fell to 0-11-0 overall and 0-8-0 in the NSIC.

Southwest Minnesota State narrowed the margin by scoring at 18:40 after Courtney McCarthy served a ball to Heather Anderson who beat sophomore goalkeeper
Melissa Fowler with a shot from the right side. Neither team would score again in the half, making the score 2-1 at the break.
Augie scored again in the second half when Dally took a straight on shot that beat goalkeeper Kendra Olchefske at the 78:52 mark, improving the Viking lead to 3-1. The Vikings put a final one in with just nine seconds left in the game when freshman forward
Jessie Huff sent a header into the net from the right side on an assist by Goos, scoring her fifth goal of the season.
The Vikings will be in action again tomorrow as they play Minnesota State in Mankato, Minn. at 1 p.m.
