The Augustana soccer team went to double overtime its 0-0 tie with Wayne State Saturday in Wayne, Neb. The Vikings outshot the Wildcats 29-1 but were still unable to score.
The tie moves Augie to 4-4-4 overall and 1-1-2 in the NSIC. Wayne State is now 2-8-1 on the season and 0-4-1 in conference play.

Katie Bowman took a shot at the 17:18 mark that hit the crossbar. Less than four minutes later freshman
Jessie Huff blasted a shot off of the post. Despite having five corner kick opportunities in the first half the Vikings couldn't capitalize.
Augie continued to dominate offensively, taking 12 shots in the second half to Wayne State's one, but Wildcat goalie Emily Walker made five saves to keep the game scoreless and send it in to overtime.
Augie took five shots in the first overtime period, but none of them were on goal. Junior defender
Jenna Doerneman sent a header flying just over the goal with only 20 seconds left in the period but the game proceeded to double overtime.
Neither team was able to muster a shot in the second overtime ending the game in a 0-0 tie.
Huff led the Vikings with six shots and one shot on goal while Bowman had five shots and two shots on goal.
The Vikings will be at home again next weekend as they play Winona State at noon on Saturday followed by a 1 p.m. game against Upper Iowa on Sunday.
