The Augustana women's soccer team had its season come to a close with a 1-0 overtime loss at No. 24 Minnesota Duluth Sunday afternoon in Duluth, Minn.

The Vikings, who needed a win to qualify for next week's Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament, end the season with a 7-8-5 overall record and a 4-5-4 conference record. UMD improves to 13-2-2 overall and 11-1-1 league mark.

The only goal of the game came at the 96:41 mark when Minnesota Duluth's Clare Dahmen fired a shot on goal that bounced off Augustana goalkeeper Amanda Wagner and went into the net.

Minnesota Duluth had an 18-9 overall shots advantage but just an 8-5 edge in shots on goal. Wagner made 7 saves, while UMD's Hannaha Bengtson made 5.

For the Vikings, seven of their 13 conference games went into overtime this season, with the team posting a 0-3-4 record. Augustana finished in ninth place in the league standings with 16 points, just 1 point behind Concordia-St. Paul.
