Final Results
The Augustana women's golf team put together the best round of the day to finish in fourth place at the Wildwood Lodge Invitational, which concluded Monday at Tartan Park Golf Course in Lake Elmo, Minn.
For the second consecutive week the Vikings had the best second day team score as they shot a 311 to finish with a 36-hole total of 643. Augustana, which started the day in sixth place, finished 4 shots off the lead. Winona State claimed the team title at 639, while Nebraska-Omaha was second at 640 and Upper Iowa was third at 642.
The Vikings were led by
Emily Kvidera and
Kate Tobin. Kvidera finished second at 153, just 1 shot off the lead. Kvidera shot a 76 on Monday. Michelle Narveson of Winona State held on to claim medalist honors at 152. Tobin, meanwhile, tied for third place along with Jill Preeshl of Upper Iowa at 155.
Kelly Lauer shot a team-best 73 on Monday which helped her finishe in a 10th-place tie at 161.
Kelli Lowry was next in a tie for 43rd place at 176 while
Laura Strautz finished 48th at 178. In addition,
Jennifer Benoy tied for 32nd place at 170 while competing as an individual.
The Vikings return to action on September 26-27 at the Mustang Invitational in Marshall, Minn.
