Katie Shandri, scored on a penalty kick with 5:19 remaining to give Augie the 2-1 win over Northern State Saturday in Aberdeen, S.D.
The win improves the Vikings to 4-3-3 on the season and 1-0-2 in the NSIC. The Wolves drop to 2-4-3 overall and 0-1-1 in conference play.
Northern State struck first when Kaylee McDonald chipped the ball in from five yards after it deflected off of the Viking defense at the 19:52 mark.
Augie then answered when Shandri crossed a ball from the right side to sophomore
Katie Bowman who scored off of a shot from short center. The goal is Bowman's first on the season.
The game remained tied for most of the second half until Shandri scored the game-winner off of a penalty kick, marking her third goal of the season.

Melissa Fowler recorded eight saves in the game and Shandri led the Viking offense with six shots and five shots on goal.
The Vikings will play again tomorrow against the University of Mary in Bismarck, N.D. at 1 p.m.
