CROOKSTON, Minn. -
  Jordan Spatenka led Augustana with double-figure kills to a 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-11) sweep over Minnesota, Crookston in Crookston, Minn., Saturday afternoon.  

After a four-match losing streak, Augustana's win over the Golden Eagles helps the Vikings to 10-10 (6-5 NSIC).  U of M, Crookston remains a winless 0-20 (0-12 NSIC).   

Spatenka tallied 11 kills. Taylor Hrdlichka and Lindsey Petersen also paced the Vikings' offense, adding eight kills each.

Dani Haley had 32 assists. Grace Sanders added 21 digs.

The Vikings raced out to a 13-3 lead in the opening set and would eventually build that advantage to 20-7 following a kill by Hrdlichka. Petersen smashed a kill to close the set 25-15.

The Vikings' offensive posted 13 kills in the first set, hitting .632 and only recording one error.

Augustana held U of M, Crookston to a .091 hitting percent in the second set.  The Vikings gained a lead early on in the set, tallying three kills and forcing two Golden Eagle errors to advance on U of M, Crookston 9-4.  Spatenka recorded four of Augustana's 15 kills during the set.  

The Vikings' posted another 15 kills in the finale, hitting .412 as Petersen had four kills to lead the way. Sanders served to close out the match's 14-point victory and had two service aces during the afternoon.

Hrdlichka, Spatenka and Petersen each hit over .400.   

The Vikings will continue NSIC play with a series of three matches at home.  First up is Southwest Minnesota State Oct. 19 at 7 p.m.  On Oct. 22 and 23 Augustana will take the court against U-Mary and Northern State.
