CROOKSTON, Minn. – Jessie Huff,
Katie Hurd and
Katie Bowman all scored for Augustana to help the Vikings breeze past Minnesota, Crookston 3-0 Saturday afternoon in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference soccer.
The win moves Augustana to 6-7-2 (5-4-1 NSIC). Minnesota, Crookston is now 2-11-2 (2-8-0 NSIC).
Kate Timmons played goalkeeper for the Vikings and recorded a shut-out in her first match of the season.

Amanda Wagner was out with an illness.
Hurd led all players with nine shots, four on goal.
Augustana's offense was strong from the beginning of the match, taking five shots in the first 15 minutes of play. At 21:01, Huff scored her second goal this season off an assist from
Maren Werth.
The Vikings continued to apply pressure on Minnesota, Crookston's goalie Anna Ogaard during the remainder of the period. Augustana tallied 12 shots with five on goal. The Golden Eagles could only muster up two shots, one was on goal.
On Katie Hurd's ninth shot of the match, she was able to fire the ball into the back of the net at 62:36 to score the first goal of the second period.
Just six minutes later
Katie Bowman scored on her only shot of the match to make it a 3-0 game.
Mackenzie Trom is credited with the assist.
The Vikings finished the afternoon with 20 shots to outshoot Minnesota, Crookston by 17. Ten of Augustana's shots were on goal, while the Golden Eagles had two.
The Vikings continue play tomorrow at 1 p.m. against Minnesota State Moorhead.
