Sturgis, S.D. native Kyle Kopplin has signed national letter of intent to play golf for Augustana, head coach Rick Krsnak announced today.
A four-year letterwinner for the Sturgis Brown High School golf team, Kopplin was the Greater Dakota Conference champion his senior year while also placing 3rd in the conference his sophomore year.
He finished 5th at state and was named to the State All-Tournament team his junior year, and is a three time All-Greater Dakota Conference performer.
Kopplin also earned Academic All-Conference as well as Academic All-State as a senior.
"We are very excited about Kyle choosing Augustana to play his college golf," Krsnak said. "Kyls is a very accomplished high school golfer who has enjoyed a lot of success. His talent will be a plus for our golf program."
