Eric Hieb Earns All-Conference Honorable Mention - Augustana University Athletics

Men's golfer Eric Hieb has been named All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Honorable Mention, the conference office announced today.

Hieb, a sophomore from Mitchell, S.D., was narrowly beat out of medalist honors at the NSIC Championships, but was named to the NSIC All-Tournament team.

The NSIC medalist came down to a playoff between Hieb and Kyle Welch of Minnesota State. Welch won the playoff on a 15-foot putt to birdie hole number one. Both players shot +8 for the tournament with Welch shooting rounds of 75-76-72-73-69=365 while Hieb had rounds of 75-70-77-73-70=365.

Hieb was one of only two underclassmen to be named to the two teams.
